Q. Do you have to be an entrepreneur to attend meetings?

A. We welcome all women interested in making business and social connections and expanding their horizons both personally and professionally.

Q. What fields are the women in?

A. We are a diverse group with members who work as retailers, coaches, writers, publicists, marketers, artists, actors, financial consultants, sales representatives, yoga instructors, therapists, interior designers, architects, health care professionals, computer experts...etc...etc.

Q. What if I don't have a specific career/business at present?

A. The IBWC is here to support your efforts to determine what direction is right for you. Through networking, you will meet others who might serve as an inspiration and resource...and maybe even partner.

Q. If I want new business leads, is the IBWC for me?

A. We are an intimate networking group with the philosophy that it is through relationship cultivation, hard work, and the right contacts that your business will grow. We support our members in a variety of ways, and lead exchange is strongly encouraged. You will have an opportunity at each meeting to introduce yourself to the group and give out business cards and promotional literature. Plus, there is a member directory in which you will have the opportunity to join to promote yourself.

Q. Is the IBWC approachable and welcoming to new people?

A. Absolutely. We have new people at each meeting, and the more often you attend, the better you will get to know the members. Additionally, if you choose to volunteer for the IBWC, you will have even greater opportunity to interact with women who will share their experiences and offer guidance that may be helpful to you.

Q. How many members are there,and how many attend each meeting?

A. At present, there are over 100 paid members. Meetings are attended by anywhere between 15-70 individuals.

Q. Do your meetings include lunch?

A. Usually they do.
